When my throat hurts, I fear the worst. I feel like when I was a kid, I had strep throat almost every week. I feel like when I was a kid, I probably over exaggerated everything. Either way, I remember my throat always being the first thing to feel awful when sickness was just around the corner. Needless to say, I woke up with a sore throat. I’ve been drinking water and OJ all day in hopes of pushing away illness that may be coming my way. We leave for Canada on Friday and I have to be in tip top shape so that I can.. be Canadian.
I haven’t written much about our impending trip because my life has been weddings, weddings, and more weddings these past two months. But I completed my last pre-trip wedding two days ago so now I can set my eyes on vacation! Traveling with a baby! Visiting family! Eating my favorite food ever!
So yes. I can’t be sick.

Gf, I am just getting over a killer sickness. What started as allergies quickly morphed into the flu. The only things that seemed to work was rubbing vicks on my chest like it was my religion, letting my bangs grow out, and drinking margaritas like it was my job. Good luck!

I swear taking zinc always helps me out when I’m starting to come down with something. Nap when you can! I’m sure the worst will be over by Friday!

HOT HOT HOT TEA, Leah……along with the Advil or Motrin ……and get some of those medicated Menthol Lozenges to suck on as well. You’ll be raring to go by Friday!!!
(and make sure you bring a paci and bottle for Harper to suck on when ascending and descending so her little ears don’t get plugged up!)
Have a safe and fun-filled trip to the North Country!!
