Something that has been really bothering me since Harper started wearing pants- WHY ARE THERE POCKETS?! What, is she going to put her little baby keys in there? Or how about her little baby wallet? Or maybe some breathe mints? I find it so baffling that literally, every single time I put pants on her, I guffaw. Loudly.
In other news,
HARPER CRAWLED TODAY. She’s been “mobile” for the past few weeks, doing sort of a snake like movement that gets her from one place to another but takes a pretty long time. Today, we were over at Robin’s house and Robin moved a block in front of her and told her to go get it. Something that I do every day, every second. But for Robin?
OKAY!
She deliberately and gracefully did a forward crawling movement. I instantly teared up and Robin couldn’t believe it. Wha whaaaaat?
When Taylor got home, I told him what had happened and he was sad that he missed it. Less than one minute after our conversation, Harper began to crawl to show off her new skill. SO CUTE!! Taylor looked amazed, I think I teared up again, and Harper was pretty darn proud of herself.
So, there’s that.

And I agree with you about the pockets, and BELT LOOPS. ALL of Jasper’s jeans and corduroys have BELT LOOPS. For..baby belts? DO people put belts on babies?
Also, can Robin come to Alabama for a day or two? Because she can totally work her magic on Jazz. Maybe if she videotapes herself holding a block out I can put the video on the computer, and then Jasper can crawl towards her. He still rocks, and every so often picks up a leg and moves it forward and then falls.
