I bought Harper a teething vibrating grape thing to ease her pain.
I never had my wisdom teeth taken out. Partly because I hate the dentist, partly because I was scared of the procedure, and partly because I honestly thought that they were fine going in by themselves.
So, I’m having some pain right now (do not tell me to go to the dentist, I AM WARNING YOU).
How would you react if I told you that I actually chewed on Harper’s new toy to see if it could relieve some of my discomfort?
Taylor reacted by giving me a crazy blank look.
NO, I AM NOT ASHAMED (a little).

Naw, we won’t tell you to go to the dentist.
But what would tell Harper to do if she were your age?
Hope you teeth feel better soon, Leah.

as someone who waited due to terror, let me say this:
a. twilight sedation is fantastic, and you feel like a million relaxed bucks when you wake up
b. not being able to use straws or eat much solid stuff is actually not too bad
c. taking homeopathic arnica before and after it will eliminate swelling and bruising
d. if you wait too long, it’s harder and harder to get them out. I waited until I was 28 (out of utter fear) and they had to smash a few of them out of my head. so glad I was knocked out.
basically, if you’re getting knocked out, it’s no biggie at all. way better than a usual dentist treatment. and if you wait, you’ll totally regret it.

Girrrl. Get that done ASAP.
I was horrified at the though of my wisdom teeth yanked out. But I did, and it wasn’t bad at all. And the drugs are great.

don’t wait… i put off going to the dentist for two years. ended up having 3 root canals, multiple fillings, and an infection so bad i ended up in the ER.
get it over with!!! as terrified as i am of the dentist, getting my wisdom teeth out was easier than getting a filling.

did chewing on her toy help?? I don’t have any babies at my house, but I can pretend so the pain in my mouth can go away too. Also, I read that your wisdom tooth (or teeth in my case) can go back in and come back again causing your whole set of teeth to keep moving. So you may end up needing braces! UGH, avoidance is wonderful.
