For Taylor’s birthday, I gave him a book that had pictures of Harper and I around downtown Austin, holding up signs that had reasons why he is so lovable on them. We did this a few weekends ago, with Lindsey’s help, on pretty much the coldest day ever because we had no other options. We were freezing and Harper got through about half the signs when she decided she was done and we’d just have to deal with it. I was so excited to give him his gift because it was pretty much like what he did to propose to me, but with an added bonus- Harper! TALK ABOUT CUTE.
So, last night, I give him his present. Right when he flips to the first page, he laughs and says, “This is exactly what I am doing for your birthday!!!”
WHAT?!
Seriously. Exactly. My birthday isn’t for another 9 days but he didn’t want me to think that he just went out and copied me so he came out with it. Him and Harper went out last weekend and took sneaky birthday pictures, holding signs with reasons why they loved me- and he is making it in to a book. Printed by the same place.
Great minds think alike? Could we be more meant for each other?
My favorite part of this story is thinking about Harper. I love to imagine her having adult thoughts and in this scenario, she’d be taking both sets of pictures going, “My parents are dumb-asses.”

The fact that both you and your husband made the same gift without the other knowing, is probably the most adorable thing I’ve ever heard.

Bahaha, I wish Harpo could talk. Well, I know she will, I mean right now.
I love how much you and Taylor operate on the same wavelength.

The best gifts don’t come from the store, they come from the heart. Well done to both of you!
